Specialdeals.com is a venture funded social commerce site that provides risk free advertising and promotion services to consumer oriented local businesses. We utilize our realtime, location-based platform to promote local services to local consumers in markets located across the US and the world. We are currently seeking topnotch Regional Business Development Agents to grow our markets in your area. This must be the world's easiest sales job because you collect absolutely no money from the merchants. In fact, Specialdeals.com will write those merchants a check when the promotion is over. As a Regional Business Development Agent, you will be outgoing, have strong interpersonal skills, and an appreciation and knowledge for social networking sites including Facebook, Twitter and other online communities. Ideal candidates will also have local advertising sales experience and a strong desire to close the deal (Hunter Mentality). The Agent will be responsible for expanding the Specialdeals.com network by developing relationships with local businesses.

You should already know your city well and understand what makes it unique. For example in the San Francisco Bay Area, we have the ocean for sailing, skiing and lots of sports teams. We also have world class restaurants and museums. Can you bring in the hottest deals related to the best part of your city? Do you like to convince people to try new things? Do you have a experience in sales? If so, working as a Regional Business Development Agent for Specialdeals.com will be a perfect job for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Generate and maintain a robust merchant sales pipeline based on local happenings and news.
  2. Meet with and sign up local merchants to participate in Specialdeals.com: Goal is to bring in 50 qualified contracts per month. It should be very easy to sign up merchants because we charge no money upfront. You can view an example iFly indoor skydiving deal that we did for the merchant free or charge.
  3. Sign up merchants to offer special deals, work with them throughout the process and build and ongoing relationship with them.
  4. Utilize Craigslist, Facebook and other free online sources to promote merchants’ special deals.
  5. Help grow our local user base for the city you represent.
Requirements:
  1. Outgoing, optimistic, and with strong interpersonal skills.
  2. Willingness to make 30+ phone calls a day or go door-to-door and regularly meet with and sell to merchants.
  3. Comfortable with explaining the Specialdeals.com business concept and deal terms to local merchants.
  4. Keen sense of what is “hot” / “up and coming” in a particular city.
  5. Knowledge of the Internet, facebook, and Twitter.
  6. Prior sales experience a plus.

Compensation:

  1. Up to $5000/month base salary for closing up to 50 deals per month.
  2. 15% commission on gross net of deal sales.
  3. Equity and full health benefits after three months of proven sales.
